Pan American World Airways, or Pan Am, was the first American airline to offer international flights and operated the famous Jumbo Jet Boeing 747. No other airline showcased brand image as skillfully. In the 1950s and 1960s, Pan Am reached the peak of its success, and travel-themed advertisements were omnipresent. The brand failed in 1991, but the unmistakable cult surrounding the historical travel motifs and the brand logo remains.
